Conceived and released in the tumultuous winter of 09/10, the Nordic Rust EP is the gateway to Mild Maynyrd's psyche at the time. Confused and dizzy, he set out to cope with what was happening around him through music. The new sound combined electronic stabs and blurps with a grimy industrial feel, layered with hip-hop beats and dreamscapes. The final product was an odd love note to someone special, and also a meditation on death.
